1. Who we are

IdealLearning (ideallearning.net) is run by Translator Series, Inc. By using IdealLearning you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Questions: office@translatorseries.com.

2. It's free

Every course, Ask Your Guide and every certificate are free. There are no payments, paid tiers or ads, and we never sell your information.

3. Accounts

• You don't need an account to learn. An account saves your progress and badges.
• Give your real name (or a name you're happy to show on certificates) and an email address you use. One account per person. Keep your password private.
• Children under 13 don't sign up themselves. A parent or guardian can add them from a parent account, as described in the Privacy Policy. A parent who adds a child is responsible for that child's use of their account.
• Teachers can sign up right away. As a teacher you agree to use what you see about learners only to teach them, and to keep it private. Courses you create join the public catalog only after a person on our team reviews them.
• You can delete your account at any time on the My Account page.

4. Be a good member of the community

Many of the people learning here are children. Don't:

• harass, threaten, bully or try to contact other learners, or share anything sexual, violent or hateful;
• try to see, change or collect anyone else's information, or pretend to be someone you're not (including pretending to be a parent, guardian or teacher);
• attack, overload, probe or get around the security of the site, or use bots to scrape it;
• use IdealLearning to break the law.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules, and report things that put a child at risk to the right authorities.

5. Ask Your Guide is an AI tutor

• Answers come from AI and from our lesson material. They can be incomplete or wrong. Check important things with a teacher, a parent or another trusted source.
• It isn't medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice.
• If you tell your guide you're thinking about hurting yourself or someone else, it will show you how to reach help right away. If you're in danger now, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

6. Certificates

When you finish a course you can get a certificate. It's a signed record that you completed an IdealLearning course, not college credit, a diploma or third-party accreditation. Anyone with a certificate's link can check it's genuine.

7. Our lessons and your work

• You may use our lessons for your own learning, and share links to them freely. Please don't republish the lessons as your own.
• Lessons and courses a teacher creates stay theirs. By adding them to IdealLearning, the teacher lets us host and show them to learners for free.
• Your lesson notes stay on your device. We don't claim anything you write.

8. The service

We work hard to keep IdealLearning accurate, safe and available, but it's provided free and "as is". We may change, add or remove features, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, Translator Series, Inc. isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using IdealLearning. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law says can't be limited.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and applicable state law.

10. Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date before the change takes effect. We don't send email, so check here. If you keep using IdealLearning after a change, the new terms apply.
